 Steve Somers is an "Amazing Teacher". He is the founder of Amazing Productions, a company that produces educational presentations designed to train, motivate and inspire young and old
alike.
Growing up in a family of educators, Steve learned to
read before he started school. By first grade, he was teaching other students how to read.
The exciting adventure of reading led Steve to explore the
school library for books on a variety of subjects.
In particular, he enjoyed reading about tricks, puzzles,
science projects, jokes and riddles, puppets, drama and
storytelling.
In second grade, Steve wrote, directed and acted in
his class Christmas production. He even cast his "first crush"
as the leading role.
By sixth grade, he was paid to perform his tricks
and puppet routines for elementary schools and churches near
his home. As a teen, Steve competed and won several performing
arts competitions at local, state and regional levels.
During college he honed his presentation skills by
leading and directing teams of college students. The
teams traveled
throughout the United States presenting inspirational messages
to people of all ages.
Steve worked his way through graduate school
performing programs for day care centers, schools,
libraries, civic groups, church groups, camps and even some
corporations.
As a professor (for more than 19 years), Steve combined
his unique blend of education and entertainment (edutainment)
in the college classroom. Now, with Amazing
Teacher he creatively communicates
significant educational messages for children. Using tricks, illusions, drama, puppetry, stories, and music
Steve continues to makes learning fun wherever he goes!
 His appearances have taken him throughout the United States actively engaging students, teachers and parents with powerful programs and life-changing principles. During the past thirty years, he has
given more than 3100+ performances, speaking to
thousands of people every month.
Steve has been in education most of his life. Recently,
his doctoral studies and certification in curriculum development
served to provide the basis for his educationally sound presentations.
Steve is more than a competent and qualified educator. He is an engaging entertainer;
a motivating speaker, a talented puppeteer and the author
of two books for children. Steve Somers is an
