A Wild Adventure through History!
Come ride with Cowboy Steve and his friends as they
take your kids on an amazing trip back to the Old American
West (1840-1899). Students will learn about
things like: the California Gold Rush, the Pony Express, the
telegraph,
Wagon Trains that crossed the Plains and the
Transcontinental Railroad.
Students will also be introduced to the people that made their
names in the Old West! These western pioneers include people
like: Annie Oakley, Buffalo Bill, Daniel Boone, Granville Woods, Samuel
Clemens and Levi Strauss.
Your young readers will learn how to “talk” to people from the past
through biographies, how to find interesting places all over the world
through geography books, and how to travel through time using historical
novels and science fiction. And because they are INVOLVED in the magic and
stories, the lessons will be retained.
A gifted teacher, Steve
combines a unique blend of “education and entertainment”
to creatively teach your students about an amazing part of our country’s
history. Using books, magic tricks, drama, puppets, stories, and
music Steve makes the old west come to life! Reading and learning
have never been so much fun!
