Fairy tales are the foundation for the Once Upon a Time Reading Adventure magic show. The show engages readers with important life lessons wrapped in fun easy to remember tales. Using magic tricks, a silly puppet, drama, music, books and a variety of stories the show helps build the love of reading while inspiring good character.

The Once Upon a Time show is a Theatrical Production!
Using magic tricks, a silly puppet, drama, music, books and a variety of stories, the Once Upon a Time show MAY include the following:

- a professional PA system with 20+ sound FX
- 6+ volunteer helpers to make the magic happen
- a live re-enactment of Jack and the Beanstalk!
- an amazing contraption designed to catch a Unicorn!
- the magical appearance of a live rabbit name “Hopper”

Incorporates Great Books
Once Upon a Time creatively combines learning and fun resulting in magical edutainment! It starts with a look at some of the most popular fairy tale characters. Meanwhile, Mr. Steve takes on the impossible challenge to Catch a Unicorn using a magic unicorn catcher. Along the way, readers reenact an imaginative version of the time honored Jack and the Beanstalk!
Classic Fairy Tales
The Once Upon a Time reading show is built around the theme of storytelling. In particular, one aspect is that of classic fairy tales. Steve is happy to partner with award winning illustrator Scott Gustafson. Scott captures the power of fairy tales in his beautiful illustrations. Not only did Steve license Scott’s wonderful “Storyteller” work for the show, but is using it for magical inspiration!
